Tuff Tyre was developed to act like a protective layer inside the tyre to self-heal any puncture wound up to 10mm. The Tuff Tyre special elastomer sealant performs like a flexible shield inside the tyre. Tuff Tyre sealant is pre-applied inside the tyre before it is mounted on the wheel. The Tuff Tyre sealant is applied in liquid form but will solidify upon cooling after application into a semi-solid gel that does not move or slosh around while the tyre is in motion. In the event of a puncture the escaping air sucks the Tuff Tyre sealant into the wound and instantly seals the puncture wound. This applies regardless if the puncturing object (such as nails, screws or metal bits) is removed or still lodged in the tyre. If the puncturing object is still in the tyre Tuff Tyre sealant will seal around the object preventing air from escaping.

 

Tuff Tyre sealant can be applied to all pneumatic tubeless tyres and does not affect the tyre life, performance (traction), or balancing. Tuff Tyre sealant will last the life of the tyre.
